Dalliance by K. Morris

kmorrisKevin Morris was the very first person to appear on, Kev’s Author Interviews. (Lots of applause, whistling and shouting in the background. I kindly motion everyone to quiet them down. It doesn’t  work, but Chris, The Story Reading Ape, happens to be back-stage and pops his head out from behind the curtain with a serious look and… ‘is that a banana in your mouth?’ Anyway he has the desired effect and the audience calms downThumbs-up, and Chris quickly disappears again.)

That first interview seems an age ago, now. I did however, have the wonderful opportunity to interview Kev again about his book, Dalliance: Kev’s Interview.

I, along with some great indie authors was given the rare opportunity to become co-authors with Kev when he put together an anthology in a gracious effort to raise money for the Guide Dogs for the Blind association, earlier this year. K Morris, is a genuine, kind-hearted down to earth chap with a unique perspective on life that echoes throughout his works.

Dalliance; a collection of poetry and prose’ explores the intimate connections between the natural world and humanity, while a number of pieces are of a humorous nature. (K Morris)

Dalliance is very well put together with poetry, flash fiction and even an essay. All present that uniqueness of perspective only found in K Morris’ works. For me, it’s not the length of a work that makes or breaks it, but the quality and depth. No dilly-dallying; K Morris gets straight to the point at the beginning with a poem on Dalliance… very cleverly done. My favourites within this work are, Ghost, (poem) and Run For Your Life. (Flash Fiction)

Four Stars!
