SYNOPSIS: Healing Ties is Book One in my Ties Series which revolves around best friends Andrea and Blythe. This book is a work of contemporary fiction which exhibits multiple themes mirroring the emotions of the characters. Healing Ties gives the background of how the two friends met, showing how friendships can serve as the glue to bond together the fragile pieces of the human soul.
REVIEW: When I first started reading this book, I put it down about a third of the way through and it had done nothing for me. I figured this was due to it being too girly for me and geared towards a much younger audience.
Upon picking it up again, the story quickly developed and I found myself drawn into the world of a very special relationship with strong ties that would bring about forgiveness and a miraculous healing.
Had it not been for the slow beginning, and had there been a bit more depth in the dreams and the healing process when Andrea and Blythe found each other through their bondship, (This was over with far too quickly.) I would have given five stars.
Other than that… Very Good!
