One Blog…

“One ring [blog] to rule them all. One ring [blog] to find them. One ring [blog] to bring them all, and in the darkness [Er, blogosphere?] bind them in the land of Mordor [KC Books & Music] where the shadows [greatest indie raves & reviews] lie” Muah ha ha aaargh!  😀

But what does it all mean, Kev?

blogimage2First of all, allow me to take you back in time: Once upon a… Ok, scrap that! For those of you who remember GreatIndieAuthorsthe site that I deleted last December when health troubles began to get the better of Pat and I? Well, you see, before I deleted the site, I did a very clever thing. (I know, right!) I created a wordpress xml file of the whole blog. 😀 Get a load of that then! Thinks Kev as he does a little dance.

Er, mm, anyway, now that things are on the up n up again, I got to thinking… (Red alert!) And, I experimented with the xml file by uploading it to this site. Now the GreatIndieAuthors file was far too large for the whole thing to work, but, being in two parts, I managed to upload the last year or so of it. After doing that, I was relatively pleased with the result, I decided to have KC Books & Music host both GreatIndieAuthors, and Raves & Reviews so everything can be in one place making life much easier for myself at the same time.

I still have some work to do to set a few things up… Pages and all that… but you can now access all your favourite interviews, blurbs, book reviews and other posts from Greatindieauthors as well as keep up to date with what I’ve done on Raves & Reviews.

Now Raves & Reviews will cease to exist as it is all transferred to KC Books & Music. But that doesn’t change anything… There’s still lots of Raves, and Reviews to come. But don’t forget to Bookmark KC Books & Music folks!

  1. Hope you make it back someday. I live in Yorkshire with its a beautiful, idyllic countryside and seaside resorts… It helps me to deal with all the world’s insanity. 😉

  2. Oh Kev, I am honored you are following my blog now. Reading your personal stats, I was amazed at your diversity. You’re a real Renaissance man! We have many of the same blog friends. (My fantasy would be someday to have a big party and meet in person!) What a day that would be! I look forward to talking to you much more, thanks again. Blessings,

    • Thanks Ellie, I do like variety. It keeps one from being too shallow. That’s a wonderful fantasy to have! 🙂

      • Oh you’re nowhere near shallow, ha! When we lived in Europe, one of our favorite vacations was reconnecting to some English/Scottish friends we met in Tunisia. Such generous and loving people. Traveled and played golf all over. Would love to go back someday if the world ever restored its sanity. My grandfather came from Truro and I hear its a beautiful setting. Till then,

  3. great thinking…good to consolidate…Cheers Kev!!!!!!

    • Not quite full-steam but getting there! I still have to sort out the pages and need to make a few new changes which I’ll write a post on so folk know what’s going on… I also need to do a newsletter. So much to do, so little time! Thanks Mae! 😀

  6. That sounds like a lot of work! But I’m very happy that all the work from your previous blog wasn’t lost. And also that the health issues in your life have improved! Yaaay!

    • Thanks Ali, that means so much… this will actually make things easier for me. I still have a personal blog where I share about life in general for me and Pat… I like to keep all that separate from books and stuff. 🙂

      • I can understand that. And it certainly does make more sense having everything else in one place. 😊

        • You’re absolutely right, Ali. I have to get out of this, always trying to do too much habit and keep things simple. I do tend to complicate things, but I’m learning. 😀

  7. Excellent. It’s great that you were able to figure it out and retain all that work! I can just picture the happy dance that goes with the smile 🙂

    • Lol… Thanks Jwls! Yes, I’m condensing… sometimes, less is more. I’m still keeping mine and Pat’s personal blog separate ’cause I only post, well, personal stuff on there. 🙂 Lovely to see you here.
