Social Studies – Book Three Weaving Alice Plus Eleven is the third book in a trilogy of short story anthologies focused on social issues.
SYNOPSIS: SOCIAL STUDIES – Book Three sub-titled “Weaving Alice” is a compilation of 12 short stories with the focus on social issues including such subjects as spousal abuse, elder abuse, child abuse, and animal welfare.
REVIEW: I rather enjoyed reading this lovely collection of short stories. Audrey has a real knack for drawing the reader in. Each story deals with different aspects of life, like bullying, Alzheimer’s, and malicious intent with a little fantasy added in to some of them. It’s like sprinkling cinnamon on a bun.
Not all of the stories are of the same quality or calibre, but of my favourites are, I Wish You Could Remember Me, and Weaving Alice. They are the stories that brought up the rating for me… They had stronger characters and were thoroughly captivating… Four stars!
