A Cute Tombstone
This is both a deeply entertaining, yet thoroughly thought-provoking work. Zabrisky is a truly gifted writer who can fuse prose and poetry in its pure form of dramatisation. What I love about Zabrisky the most is that she’s not afraid to throw away the rule book.
This whole story is weaved around the following premise: “Don’t die in Russia; Do not get buried in Russia; If you can, avoid living in Russia.”
The amount of emotion, visual and sensual details to the scenarios that fill this tiny work of 50 pages are incredible. The metaphorical language and similes are amazing. I have never read anything like it before and I will most definitely be reading it again.
