Zarina Zabrisky shows us life with a fresh set of eyes. The four stories presented within this short book are filled with those things from the darker side of life. The things that cause to bury our heads in the sand. Is it because we are afraid to acknowledge the grim realities of the darker side to life, or that they are too horrific for our feeble minds to endure? This is the kind of question one is moved to ponder when reading Zabrisky.
My favourite of the four stories is definitely, Iron, but for others I imagine it could be any of the four because within all four of these tales, one cannot but notice the collision of dark metaphors with grim reality.
