Blog Tour: Author, Marlena Smith #RRBC

Hi, again!

Welcome to Day 3 of my RRBC “SPOTLIGHT” Author Blog Tour! I am so excited to have you join me! A huge THANKS to RRBC and to my awesome host!!

Today, I would like to take you on a little tour of Belmont, Montana – the place where it all happens…

(Author’s Note: Location is a complete fabrication of the creative mind of the Author. Image credit, however, goes to Author’s home town and Google.)

Belmont, Montana
belmont

Belmont is a small town of less than a thousand people. As you would imagine, everyone knows everyone and knows everything about everything. The people that populate this town, though, couldn’t imagine life in any other place.

Small as it may be, Belmont has a lot to offer. Especially to those wanting to start over, start somewhere different, get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Here’s what you should know…

1)  Places to visit:

~Main Street Cafe – Many of the locals would highly recommend having at least one meal a day here. Given there aren’t many restaurants within an hour’s drive-time, that’s a wise idea.

~Belmont Library – This is another place frequented by locals. The library is the home of many community events, including the famous Christmas Live Nativity Scene.

~Belmont Historic Train Depot – The Depot is now only a tourist spot, if only for the locals. It’s definitely a sight to see!

  • Things to do:

~The Summer Carnival is an event all the kids love. The townspeople come together each summer to create a fun place for the family for the whole weekend. Games, rides and delicious food… Best weekend of the year!!

~Christmas is HUGE in Belmont. They prepare all year for the celebration. The church puts on a big play, the library carries out the Nativity Scene, and the Cafe serves a feast on Christmas Eve.

~NYE Dinner on Main is a special event for locals. The Cafe stays open late just to cater the event. If you don’t attend, you’re not a local!

3)  People to know:

~Lucas is the doctor of the town, only working for appointments and emergencies. His free-time is what brings our heroine out of her hole.

~Sue Ellen is one of the most loved locals of Belmont. She’s like a grandmother to quite a few of the younger generation. She is especially close to Lucas, and often pries where she shouldn’t.

~Ms. Kathleen owns Main Street Cafe. She also organizes a lot of the community events. Her family has been a part of Belmont for a very long time, so she feels it’s her duty to always give back.

I hope you’ve enjoyed learning about Scarlet’s new home. Get to know the town and the locals a little more in THE POWER OF LOVE, available Spring 2017.

Book Blurb:

All she wanted was a fresh start.

Eight months ago, Scarlet made the choice to leave the prison she called home, and to escape the man that put her there. She had made a new home for herself in the small town of Belmont, Montana. The abandoned apartment was far from luxury, but she was better off, away from her past life.

She never expected to meet Lucas, the local hero and town’s only doctor. She didn’t expect to enjoy the small town life. She didn’t expect her past to catch up to her.

Will she risk it all? Risk revealing her secrets at a chance of love? Will she be forced back into the life she hated? Will she gain control of her own destiny?

Available Spring 2017!!
